How to Keep Your Lashes Long and Beautiful

We can say one of the things we're grateful for during MCO is that finally, our lashes can rest from all the extensions! We all know long, curvy lashes can make your eyes look wider, alert and more youthful in appearance. It may be no surprise, then, that women want to accentuate their lashes.

However, many of us have weak or too few lashes, to begin with. Some are born with it and others partly due to the lifestyle activities and habits, like excessive rubbing, heavy sports, sweating, and so on. You may be wondering if there is any solution to this? Well, we recommend two - one is more cost-effective and another more complete care...

1. Use lash serum with natural ingredients

Many lash serums selling in cosmetics stores can do wonders. The consistent application can be used as treatment, and grow your lashes longer too. What should you expect your lash serum to provide?

Protection from damage caused by overheating and overdrying, free radicals and environmental stresses. But maintaining healthy, long lashes is often no easy task, as lashes are constantly exposed to irritants such as pollution and smoke. In addition to these environmental stresses, your lashes also experience demands from continuous mascara application and curling, as well as pulling and rubbing. All of these lead to fewer and thinner lashes.

People don’t even consider they can condition their lashes, just like they do their hair. Proper lash and eyebrow treatment begin by avoiding lash primers or serums with dyes and those containing fumes or fragrances that can sting or irritate the eyes. You also should look for products with anti-inflammatory and healing agents, which soothe and enhance the strength of your lashes and eyebrows while increasing their resistance to breakage.

It also is important to enrich your lash and eyebrow treatment with vitamin E, which nourishes lashes by replenishing and augmenting the level of vitamin B5. Find products that are natural 100%, safe and effective. It should also contain a variety of nutrients like cell growth factor, Vitamin E and collagen. These ingredients help to nourish and replenish the nutrients that the eyelash need to. grow naturally and healthily.

2. Use castor oil

One of the most cost effective method - castor oil. It is natural and doesn't bring side effects. Apply using a mascara wand only with small amount. Try these steps:-

  • Cleanse your face and make sure you remove all traces of makeup from your eyes.
  • Get hold of a clean mascara wand or a clean eyeliner brush.
  • Dip it into the castor oil and carefully apply it on your upper and lower lashline, coating each lash thoroughly.
  • Leave it on overnight.
  • Remove it the next morning with a makeup wipe or some rose water.

Using castor oil is incredibly moisturizing for those fine hairs, which is never a bad idea. If there's one thing we know, it's that happily hydrated hair tends to look fuller and shinier—the same goes for the ones lined up on your lash line.

A note to the eyelash extension addicts

If you have been wearing eyelash extensions for consecutive months, we highly recommend using a lash serum or an after-lash extension conditioner to maintain your eyelash health. However, if you do not wish to use a lash extension serum, we strongly recommend that you take a break from wearing lash extensions after a year. Don't worry, we don't mean for months on end; just taking a 4-6 week break will allow your lashes to cycle through one time, and your lashes will thank you for it.

Once the lashes are stronger and healthier, you can then have more frequent eyelash extensions service to beautify it, look thicker and more volumised. Every women's dream is to wake up to long, beautiful lashes without makeup in the morning, isn't it?
